1. I grew up on a lake boating, fishing, swimming, and ice skating.
2. I was a Brownie and a Girl Scout.
3. I have never broken a bone.
4. I have an English Education degree with a minor in American Studies.
5. I hitchhiked to Florida with 3 friends when in my early twenties.
6. Some jobs I've had: fiberglassing boats, waitressing on an ocean beach, working in a bank, pumping gas at a gas station, being a Vista volunteer for a year writing curriculum for ND public schools about ND's 5 Indian tribes, and teaching English for grades 7-12.
7. The older I get, the less confidence I have in myself. Is that good or bad?

I understand about losing confidence as we age. I think that is pretty common. When we are as surrounded by competent active young people as you and I are, it is easy sometimes to be painfully aware that we are no longer 25. Every time I open my mouth to talk and something totally unrelated comes out or I forget what I went to the kitchen for, my self confidence gets a little ding. I am thankful that I will some day soon get a new body with a good brain. Until then, I just hope people find me to be an amusingly brainless old lady!
