Here is a list of things my immediate family inherited from my folks.
- Keeping little things because they were Aunt So and So's
- Watching kittens for entertainment.
- Keeping old dogs too long.
- Singing aloud (This comes from my mom who sings to newborns from moment one).
- Playing scrabble. My kids have added other favorites.
- Going straight to the fridge when we enter Mom's or Auntie's house.
- Living around the table.
- Teasing.
- Rejoicing a lot, fairly quietly.
- Grieving well and fully and privately.
- Loving fiercely.
- Trying to say nothing if we can't say something good.
- Forgiving quickly.
- Being tolerant of mental/spiritual illness in our family.
- Calling a spade a spade.
- Saying I love you (Thanks S. for getting this started in our family!)
- Looking up at the stars any time they are bright and clear and singing "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas" at the top of our lungs!
- Flexing our biceps and shouting, "Jump up on this and Crow!" (From Dad)
- Eating too much good food.
- Never rearranging furniture or doing yard work or washing cars.

Lawana,
Nice list....
I will have to pay more attention when I am around people...especially your family...some I have noticed...others I haven't. ;~)
I laughed at #20.
I will have to think what I would put on my list.
Thanks,
Mommy 2
P.S. I like lists. 8~)
I second Mommy 2's comment-I like lists (always enjoy yours, Lawana, especially your morning walk noticings) and am going to think about our family traditions-
